Assoc. Prof. Dr. med. Signe Tomsone is a prominent academic at Rīga Stradiņš University, serving as Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Director of the Study Programme in Rehabilitation. With over 15 years of experience, she leads research projects and teaches in areas connecting environmental adaptation and assistive technologies to healthy ageing.

Dr. Tomsone focuses on active and healthy ageing from a life-course perspective, examining how older adults adapt to environmental changes. Notably, she developed the Academic Master's Programme in Rehabilitation and teaches courses like Gerontology and Geriatrics and Research Methods in Rehabilitation.
