Ieva Bikava is a Researcher at Rīga Stradiņš University, focusing on healthcare policy, political science, and e-health implementation. Her work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in advancing public health and effective governance.
Education: She holds a Doctoral Thesis titled Health Policy Reform in Latvia from 1990 to 2020 in Perspective of Historical Institutionalism (2023) from Rīga Stradiņš University.
Research Interests: Bikava’s research spans political science, healthcare policy reform, and e-health governance. She has led projects such as Safe Remote Consultations in Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital (2021) and contributed to studies on Latvia’s healthcare system resilience during the pandemic. Her work emphasizes institutional frameworks, policy development, and digital transformation in healthcare.
