Signe Alexandra Domogalla serves as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Performing Arts within Kristiania University College's School of Arts, Design and Media. Her teaching portfolio spans musical theatre fundamentals, performance communication practices, theoretical performing arts concepts, choreography and composition, entrepreneurial skills for artists, and intimate choreography techniques.
Her research centers on two interdisciplinary domains: developing integrated methodologies where dance and speech function as equal artistic expressions, utilizing autoethnography and personal narratives as foundational elements for stage texts; and pioneering trauma intervention frameworks combining Narrative Exposure Therapy with performing arts to mitigate PTSD effects across diverse populations. Her artistic practice consistently incorporates site-specific projects and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
Domogalla played a pivotal role in establishing Norway's inaugural bachelor's degree in musical theatre (2013-2019) through the Musical Theatre Academy development initiative. Her expertise encompasses jazz dance, contemporary dance, classical ballet, dance pedagogy, and choreographic design within performance contexts.
