Sidsel Christy Lindgaard

Sidsel Christy Lindgaard is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Public Health, Section for Health Data Science and AI, where she works in the Brunak group. She is also a fellow of the BRIDGE Translational Excellence Programme and maintains active affiliations with Copenhagen University Hospital - Herlev and Gentofte.

Her educational background includes:

• PhD in Circulating Proteins in Patients with Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma from the University of Copenhagen (awarded November 22, 2022)
• MD in Medicine from the University of Copenhagen (awarded June 13, 2013)

Dr. Lindgaard's research is centered on pancreatic cancer and circulating biomarkers, with a specific focus on proteins in the blood as well as circulating tumor DNA. She has several years of experience from both clinical practice and translational research, and her primary goal is to identify biomarkers for the early detection of pancreatic cancer. Her work bridges clinical oncology with advanced data science approaches to improve cancer diagnostics and treatment monitoring.

Her publication record shows a concentrated research trajectory on pancreatic cancer biomarkers, particularly examining circulating proteins for diagnostic, prognostic, and treatment response prediction purposes.
