Joanne Lundy is an Adjunct Research Associate in the Department of Surgery at Monash University, affiliated with Monash Health. Her research focuses on pancreatic cancer diagnostics, precision medicine, and molecular evaluation techniques, particularly using endoscopic ultrasound and circulating tumor DNA analysis. She leads the EU-ME-PC Study (Cancer Council Victoria) to advance pancreatic cancer precision medicine and collaborates on projects like the SuperQoL initiative funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care (Australia).
Her expertise includes developing preclinical disease models, investigating inflammation in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and exploring novel therapeutic combinations like Olaparib and Pembrolizumab. Recent work highlights circulating tumor DNA as both a diagnostic tool and prognostic marker in pancreatic cancer.
Lundy has secured research grants totaling over $ millions through collaborative projects. Notable outputs include peer-reviewed articles in Pancreas, Scientific Reports, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Her studies emphasize translational research bridging molecular biology and clinical oncology practices.
