Sidney Tuttle Bogardus, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Digestive Diseases) at Yale University’s Yale School of Medicine. He serves as the Associate Chief for Network Development of Digestive Health at Yale New Haven Health System and Chief of Gastroenterology at the Saint Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. His clinical expertise spans gastroenterology, treating conditions such as acid reflux, inflammatory bowel disease, and colon polyps. He performs procedures like colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and hemorrhoidal band ligation.
Dr. Bogardus graduated with a BA from Yale University in 1985 and earned his MD from Columbia University in 1989. His research focuses on patient preferences, shared decision-making instruments, functional status documentation, and delirium prevention in hospitalized older adults.
