Siddhartha Sen is a Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Architecture and Planning at Morgan State University, where he has served as faculty since 1992. He currently holds the position of Interim Dean and has extensive academic leadership experience including directing the City and Regional Planning program (1997-2017), serving as Interim Assistant Dean (2014-2017), and Acting Director of the Graduate Landscape Architecture Program (2018-2019).

His work addresses critical issues in diversity, equity, community planning, transportation policy, and urban sustainability, published in top journals including Journal of Planning History and Journal of Planning Education and Research.
His recent publications reveal consistent focus on urban transformations in Kolkata and smart technology applications, with books on smart cities (2022), architectural travel guides (2023), and smart village technology (2020) demonstrating interdisciplinary approaches bridging historical analysis with contemporary planning challenges.
Dr. Sen has secured significant research funding including:
