Dr. Sicong Tu is the Lenity Senior Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney's Brain and Mind Centre, within the Central Clinical School of the Faculty of Medicine and Health. His research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and dementia, employing advanced neuroimaging techniques.
He holds international collaborations with institutions in the UK, USA, and China, and has received prestigious awards including the NHMRC CJ Martin Biomedical Fellowship. His work emphasizes non-invasive biomarkers for disease progression tracking and has contributed to understanding brain network abnormalities in neurodegeneration.
Research interests include brain connectivity, cognitive dysfunction, and machine learning applications in neuroimaging. He actively supervises students and engages in public outreach to promote neuroscience education.
