Shylo M. Martinez is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Musical Theatre Dance at Shenandoah University Conservatory, where she has taught since 2015. She holds an M.F.A. in Dance Choreography from Wilson College and a B.F.A. in Dance from New York University.
Her expertise encompasses ballet, tap, pointe, partnering, jazz, and musical theatre choreography, with additional focus on dancer wellness and arts business practices. As a performer, she appeared in Broadway productions including Wicked (Witch's Mother/swing) and Twyla Tharp's Movin' Out (swing/u/s Judy), along with international performances in Cats and regional theatre.
