Shweta Chopra

Shweta Chopra, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at Nova Southeastern University and a UX Research consultant for Microsoft's Azure Quantum team. Previously, she held Assistant Professor positions at Ohio University (2019–2022) and Iowa State University (2014–2019), teaching courses in operations management, supply chain logistics, lean manufacturing, and engineering design. She holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Society for Quality.

Her research integrates quality management and ICT solutions to address global food safety/security challenges, post-harvest loss reduction, and supply chain optimization. Secondary foci include applying lean methodologies in healthcare, education, and manufacturing. She has secured ~$4M in grants and published 13 peer-reviewed journal articles.

Her publications emphasize technology adoption in food systems, lean management applications, and policy optimization in developing economies. Trends include empirical studies on India's Public Distribution System, ICT-driven food security interventions, and industry-academia collaboration frameworks.
