Shuo Li is the Leonard Case, Jr. endowed chair professor in engineering at Case Western Reserve University, holding dual appointments in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Computer and Data Sciences within the Case School of Engineering. He is a global leader in AI-driven clinical imaging research, focusing on solving complex problems in cardiology, radiology, and cancer imaging. His work integrates machine learning, medical data analytics, and imaging to advance healthcare through AI systems. Dr. Li co-directs the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics and the Center for AI Enabling Discovery in Disease Biology, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration.
He has received prestigious awards including Fellowships from SPIE, AIMBE, AAIA, and IET (2025), and the MICCAI Young Scientist Award (2017). Recent recognitions include the Case School of Engineering Faculty Research Award (2025) and induction into the AIMBE College of Fellows (2025).
