Shuang Gu

Dr. Shuang Gu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University's College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and completed postdoctoral research at UC Riverside and the University of Delaware. His research focuses on advanced polymer electrolytes for fuel cells, novel cell designs for flow batteries, and electrochemical nitrogen reduction. Dr. Gu has published 60+ journal articles (with 15 first-authored) and holds 15 granted/pending patents, achieving over 5,000 citations (h-index 32) by June 2020. His work spans sustainable energy systems, waste nitrogen upcycling, and electrochemical engineering innovations.
