معرفی
Dr. Shrabanti Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Western Michigan University. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University (Texas), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Military Institute of Science and Technology, Bangladesh.
Her research focuses on chemical kinetics, combustion mechanism development, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), renewable energy technologies, and alternative fuels. Specific areas include detailed mechanism generation and reduction for engine combustion simulations, renewable energy systems design, and wind turbine aerodynamics optimization. Her work emphasizes improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions through advanced modeling techniques.
Recent publications highlight her contributions to ethanol oxidation mechanisms, anisole combustion pathways, and plasma-assisted combustion systems. She has explored hydrogen addition effects on ammonia/methane combustion and developed novel ethanol mechanism reduction methods for CFD applications. Her renewable energy research includes wind turbine blade design optimizations and aerodynamic noise reduction techniques.
Roy teaches thermal-fluids courses and maintains an active collaboration network in combustion science and sustainable energy systems. Her research integrates experimental validation with computational modeling to address modern energy challenges.
