Shouling He

Shouling He is a Professor of Engineering and Technology at Vaughn College since 2011. Previously affiliated with Pennsylvania State University, she transitioned to Vaughn to focus on mechatronic engineering education, combining mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering expertise. Her teaching and research emphasize robotics, control systems, and STEM education outreach.

Education: BS from Northwest Polytechnic University (China), MS from Harbin Institute of Technology (China), and PhD from the University of Erlangen (Germany). She brings over ten years of teaching experience and eight years of aerospace industry engineering experience.

Research focuses on robotics education, mechatronics, and innovative engineering pedagogies. Notable projects include developing robotics kits, VEX competition training programs, and initiatives to engage underrepresented groups in STEM. Her work also addresses automation, sensor integration, and maker technologies for educational and industrial applications.

Publications span robotics design, neural network applications in control systems, and engineering education strategies. She has contributed to programs enhancing student enrollment and success in engineering disciplines.
