Maged Mikhail is a Professor and Department Chair of Engineering Technology at Purdue University Northwest (PNW). He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Information System Engineering from Tennessee State University, with prior roles at Austin Peay State University and Tennessee State University. His research focuses on control automation, robotics, physical/cyber-security in manufacturing, and signal processing for aerospace applications. He teaches mechatronics courses including robotics programming, vision systems, and PLC design.
Education: Ph.D. in Computer Information System Engineering (Tennessee State University), M.E. in Electrical Engineering (Tennessee State University), B.S. in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering (Cairo, Egypt).
Research & Grants: Leads PNW's robotics and automation initiatives, including the SPRINT Challenge grant for pandemic-resilient agricultural robotics (Project TRAVERSE). Collaborates with industry on advanced manufacturing security and remote workforce solutions.
