Shirley D. Bishop

Dr. Shirley D. Bishop is a Professor in the Department of Management and Business Innovation at Lehman College, where she serves as the Director of the Master of Science in Business (MSB) Degree Program and Faculty Advisor for the award-winning Lehman College Student Chapter of SHRM.

• Education: D.B.A. in Human Resource Management (Walden University), Executive MSILR (Baruch College), B.B.A. (Baruch College)
• Professional Certifications: SPHR (HRCI), SHRM-SCP, HRPM (AAPM), NYS Notary Public License

Her academic and professional focus spans human resource management, labor relations, organizational behavior, business ethics, and diversity management, with doctoral research on enhancing creative performance in creative industries. She previously held senior HR and administrative roles in corporate and educational settings, including Chief Privacy Officer and Director of HR, Office Services, Purchasing, Security, and Facilities.

As Faculty Advisor for the SHRM student chapter, she provides strategic leadership to its Executive Board. She has also contributed to academic discourse through editorial roles and publications in The MSILR Link.
