Shinu Joy

Shinu Joy is an Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Nursing. With a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Grand Canyon University and a specialization in nursing education, she focuses on innovative teaching methodologies through virtual reality simulations, gamification, and interprofessional education (IPE).

Her research spans gamification in education, telehealth training, and clinical competency development. Recent publications analyze the integration of virtual reality and telehealth simulations to enhance nursing student preparedness.
