Shiho Satsuka

Shiho Satsuka is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Toronto, Canada, specializing in sociocultural anthropology with regional expertise in East Asia and North America. Her research focuses on the politics of knowledge production, cultural translation of nature, and capitalism-environment relations. She is currently developing a book project titled The Charisma of Wild Mushrooms: Undoing the Long Twentieth Century, examining how mushroom science can destabilize industrial modernity.
