- Therapeutic targeting of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and OXPHOS pathways
- Drug resistance mechanisms in MAPK-inhibitor therapies
Recent publications highlight:
- Combination therapies overcoming BRAF V600E melanoma resistance (2025)
- OXPHOS-driven melanoma metastasis biology (2025)
- Epigenetic profiling of stage II/III melanomas (2024)
- Sex-based differences in preclinical melanoma models (2020)
Scientific Awards:
- Karen H. Huntsman Presidential Endowed Chair (2019)
- Estela Medrano Memorial Award (2019)
- American Cancer Society Research Scholar (2006)
She leads the Holmen Lab, a multidisciplinary team working on biochemical, genetic, and in vivo approaches to cancer research.
