Shelly Amsberry

Shelly Amsberry, EdD, RN is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Nursing, Kearney Division. With 38 years of clinical and leadership experience in rural hospitals, she transitioned to academia in 2020. Her research focuses on professional identity formation among nurse educators, nursing civility, and academic integrity. She teaches fundamentals, evidence-based practice, and leadership in the BSN program and mentors graduate students in the nurse executive LEAD program.
