Douglass Haas

Douglass Haas is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNMC College of Nursing-Kearney Division, serving as Chair of the General Faculty Organization. He teaches Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner courses, contributes to the Accelerated BSN program, and advises the Kearney Division SNA.

Research & Clinical Focus: Expertise in nurse practitioner education, acute care, and family healthcare. Engaged in clinical practice as a Hospitalist and Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner at Lexington Regional Health Center.

Leadership & Service: Served as President of the Nebraska Nurses Association (2018–2020), constituent member of the American Nurses Association, and co-chair of convention planning for the Nebraska Nurses Association. Active in professional organizations including AACN, AANP, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
