Dr. Shelley Haydel is Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University. Her research develops novel antibacterial strategies, focusing on tuberculosis therapeutics and mineral-based antimicrobials. Recent work includes diagnostic technologies for rapid pathogen detection and laser-activated wound sealants. She directs projects funded by NIH and other agencies addressing drug-resistant infections.
