Shelley Golden, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the Department of Health Behavior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Gillings School of Global Public Health. Her research focuses on public policies influencing health behaviors, particularly tobacco and alcohol use, examining how policies and neighborhood characteristics shape individual behaviors. She teaches MPH and doctoral courses and emphasizes structural interventions and ecological models in public health.
