Shelby Prindaville is an Associate Professor of Art at Morningside University. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in interdisciplinary painting and drawing from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts in fine art with a concentration in sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania. Her work bridges art and science, collaborating with LSU Chemistry Professor John A. Pojman to develop new polymer clays for her mixed media reliefs and sculptures. Her exhibitions span international venues, including Madrid, Athens, Buenos Aires, and major U.S. cities. She has received grants, prizes, and residencies, notably serving as the first artist in residence at a U.S. veterinary school and a World Wildlife Fund tour artist.
Shelby’s art is featured in prominent public and private collections. She serves as President of the Board of Trustees for the Sioux City Art Center. Her research emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, merging scientific innovation with artistic expression.
