Heather Molecke is an Instructor in the Department of Interior Design at Louisiana State University (LSU), where she teaches Design Foundations. She holds a BA from Cleveland State University and an MFA in Sculpture from LSU. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Design in Cultural Preservation at LSU. Her artistic practice focuses on themes of social alienation, outsider experience, and the ontological agency of discarded objects, recontextualizing them into culturally significant artifacts. Molecke co-founded The Lost and Found, an art collective and gallery in Cleveland, Ohio, dedicated to fostering creative communities. Her research explores the intersection of art, preservation, and memory, emphasizing how objects encapsulate stories vital to cultural identity.
