Dr. Shelby Gilbert is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), affiliated with the Marieb College of Health and Human Services. She joined FGCU in 2008 in the College of Education before transitioning to her current role in public health in 2019. Her work integrates social justice principles with health education, focusing on disparities affecting marginalized communities across the lifespan.
