Dr. Sheila Woody is a Professor and registered psychologist in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. She serves as Area Coordinator and Director of Clinical Training. With a PhD from American University (1992), her expertise spans clinical psychology, focusing on hoarding disorder and its psychopathology. She leads the Centre for Collaborative Research on Hoarding, exploring community-based interventions and individual behavior patterns.
Her research interests include social/personality dynamics and learning enhancement. She has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Canadian Psychological Association Fellowship (2014) and the David Shakow Early Career Award (2000).
Dr. Woody currently directs clinical training programs and oversees graduate supervision, though she is not accepting new students. Her work integrates academic research with practical clinical applications, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration.
