Jane Scott is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), located in the Faculty of Science and Engineering within the Psychology, Sport and Sensory Science School. She is a registered clinical psychologist with international experience in clinical and academic roles. Her research focuses on hoarding disorder, eating disorders, body image, mental health and vision loss, and self-reflective practice. She is a member of ARU's Centre for Mind and Behaviour.
Jane holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cape Town. She has taught and supervised clinical psychology trainees globally, emphasizing self-reflective practice as a training method.
Her research grants include the 2016 APS Clinical College Award for CBT training innovation and the 2015 ACU grant for undergraduate psychology teaching materials. She has presented at conferences such as the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and has authored influential works on ethics and clinical practice.
Jane supervises research in hoarding disorder, eating disorders, and mental health sequelae of vision loss. She is affiliated with the British Psychological Society, British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy, and is registered with UK and Australian healthcare regulatory bodies.
