Dr. Sheila Siegel is an Adjunct Professor in the MA in Clinical Psychology program at Antioch University Los Angeles. A dual-licensed professional with expertise as a clinical social worker and clinical psychologist, she spent two decades as a school psychologist at Harvard Westlake High School before retiring. Post-retirement, she has focused on clinical supervision roles at organizations like Safe Place For Youth, Southern California Counseling Center, and The People Concern, while also volunteering with Free The Slaves to combat human trafficking globally. Her work bridges academic training with direct community interventions, emphasizing mental health support for marginalized populations.
Her research interests align with her practical experience, spanning clinical psychology, trauma-informed care, and mental health advocacy for transitional-aged youth (TAY) and homeless communities. She integrates interdisciplinary approaches from social work and community psychology to address systemic issues.
Dr. Siegel maintains active affiliations with Antioch University and multiple social impact organizations, combining her academic role with hands-on clinical and humanitarian work. She has also pursued creative endeavors through glass-blowing, demonstrating a unique intersection of art and mental health practice.
