Shaun Martin is a Professor of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he has been a faculty member since 1995. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School (1991) and an AB from Dartmouth College (1988), graduating magna cum laude. His work focuses on legal ethics, procedural law, and financial regulation.

Research Interests span professional responsibility, civil procedure, evidence, and mortgage securitization. His scholarship addresses legal frameworks for financial innovation and ethical obligations in litigation.
Scientific Awards include the Sears Prize at Harvard, the Herzog Endowed Scholar recognition (2007), and dual Thorsnes Prizes for Excellence in Teaching (1999, 2006).
