Dr. Shaun Evans serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Conducting at Shenandoah Conservatory, concurrently holding positions as Director of Athletic Bands and Senior Coordinator of Conservatory Recruitment. He earned a BA from Georgia State University, MM from UCLA, and DMA from the University of Minnesota. A former high school band director, his career began at Harrison High School in Georgia.
His expertise spans conducting pedagogy, marching band drill design, and music education outreach. He maintains active involvement with national music associations including CBDNA, NAfME, and WASBE, and is published in GIA's Teaching Through Performance series. As clinician and arranger, he works extensively with educational institutions nationwide.
