Sharon Zelmanowitz is a Professor and Dean of the School of Engineering and Cyber Systems at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Cornell University.

Dr. Zelmanowitz’s publications highlight expertise in membrane bioreactors and pollution control technologies. She actively collaborates with local water/wastewater plants to enhance educational experiences through service-based projects.
