Sharon Wheeler

Sharon Wheeler is a part-time Senior Lecturer in Journalism and PR at the University of the West of England (UWE), affiliated with the ACE - Film and Journalism department. Outside academia, she works as a freelance journalist and media consultant.

Her expertise spans PR consultancy skills, reputation management, and sports journalism, with a focus on gender and homophobia in sport, crime fiction reviewing, and feature writing.

Sharon co-founded and edits Crime Review, an independent crime fiction review website. She has authored or co-edited several academic works, including Feature Writing for Journalists (Routledge, 2009) and The Journalistic Imagination (Routledge, 2007).
