Sharon See

Sharon See, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, BCGP, is a Clinical Professor and Assistant Chair in the Department of Clinical Health Professions at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She also serves as a clinical faculty member in the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she specializes in clinical pharmacotherapy for elderly populations. Dr. See holds a BS and Pharm.D. from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and completed a Family Medicine Pharmacy residency at Deaconess Hospital/St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy and geriatrics, and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). She currently serves on the ACCP Board of Regents.

Her research focuses on evidence-based medicine, geriatrics, cardiology, inpatient glycemic control, and innovative teaching methods using technology. Key professional activities include contributions to peer-reviewed publications, presentations on pharmacotherapy topics, and international educational collaborations with institutions like MSIR International University in Cairo, Egypt. She has pioneered flipped classroom models and developed geriatric-focused educational programs.

Dr. See’s clinical expertise includes medication management in acute and chronic conditions affecting older adults, antimicrobial stewardship, and deprescribing interventions. Her work integrates clinical practice with academic training, emphasizing interdisciplinary care and patient-centered outcomes. Awards include recognition for her contributions to clinical pharmacy through the FCCP designation and sustained board certifications.

Her academic service includes teaching courses like DRUG INFORMATION AND LABORATORY (CPP 4301) and PHARMACOTHERAPY OF PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS (CPP 6111). She actively participates in residency programs and interdisciplinary initiatives, such as the Mobile Acute Care for the Elderly (MACE) service at Mount Sinai. Her professional networks span global collaborations and local community outreach through programs like the Penn South Social Services NORC initiative.
