Sharon Koelblinger is an Adjunct Professor of Art and Art History at the College of Wooster. She holds an MFA in Photography from Temple University's Tyler School of Art (2012) and a BFA in Sculpture from Minneapolis College of Art and Design (2006). Her interdisciplinary practice merges photography and sculpture to challenge traditional modes of perception and presentation. Koelblinger’s work explores human perceptual limitations through installations that require viewers to physically engage with their environment to uncover hidden layers of imagery.

Research & Exhibitions
Koelblinger’s research focuses on the intersection of sculpture, photography, and viewer interaction. Notable works include Star Forms and Satellites (2012) and In the City, You Forget to Look at the Sky (2018), which use mirrored surfaces and unconventional framing to disrupt passive observation. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as The Common Ground Gallery (Rockville, MD), Riffe Gallery (Columbus, OH), and The Sculpture Center (Cleveland, OH).

Teaching
