Professor Sharon K. Sandeen is a Professor of Law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley; a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law; and an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Her expertise spans U.S. and international intellectual property law, trade secret law, computer and internet law, unfair trade practices, and information privacy law. She has authored three books, including the first U.S. casebook on trade secret law and a seminal text on international trade secret protection.

Her research focuses on trade secret law’s historical and international dimensions, including the Uniform Trade Secrets Act and TRIPS Agreement. Before academia, she practiced law for over 15 years in Sacramento, specializing in business and IP litigation.
