Sharon Hunter is a Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde’s School of Education, specializing in Philosophy of Education and Educational Inclusion. She serves as the School’s Equality and Diversity Advocate and leads the Educational Studies component of the PGDE course. Her research explores modernity’s impact on childhood, engaging with thinkers like Hannah Arendt and Walter Benjamin, and addresses marginalization through Dada/Surrealism, Queer Theory, and Georges Bataille’s work. She co-leads projects on academic literacy in teacher education, including a current Carnegie-funded initiative (2024–2025).
