Sharon Enujioke

Sharon Enujioke is an Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and serves in the Navy as a Commander. She is based at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA, with a primary appointment in the School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics. Her research focuses on adolescent and young adult medicine, vaccines, mental health, and global health initiatives.

CDR Enujioke completed a pediatrics residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego and a fellowship in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in 2021. She has served as a staff pediatrician in Guantanamo Bay, Camp Pendleton, and Japan, contributing to Pacific Partnership missions in Indonesia, Timor Leste, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, and Vietnam. Her work was published in Pediatrics, and she is board-certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

She currently oversees graduate medical education as the Command Intern Coordinator, chairs the Intern Advisory Council and Working Hours Subcommittee, and co-chairs the ethics committee at the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM). Her military awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and Volunteer Service Medal.
