Sharon Chow

Sharon Chow serves as Project Manager for the East of England Population Health Research Hub (EoE PHResh) within Cambridge Public Health at the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering, while also acting as an adjunct tutor at the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response. Her work focuses on generating evidence to improve health/social care delivery, reduce health inequalities, and advance regional population health through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Her academic credentials include:

• BSSc (Hons) in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
• MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Hong Kong (HKU)
• Specialized training in Business Sustainability Management and Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership
• Current PhD candidate in Public Health at the University of Cambridge

Sharon's research integrates climate adaptation, sustainable housing solutions, and vulnerable community health, leveraging 15+ years of experience in sustainable building projects across rural and humanitarian settings. Her work bridges environmental design, cultural preservation, and public health equity, with projects receiving international recognition for innovative green design and social impact. She actively promotes cross-sector partnerships between universities, governments, NGOs, and communities to address complex health challenges through climate-resilient infrastructure.

Prior leadership roles include pro-bono Chief of Staff for a UK climate-action NGO and founding charitable foundations in Hong Kong to empower emerging leaders. She has presented at the Asia-Pacific Housing Forum (2017) and served on the International Scientific Review Panel for the World Sustainable Building Environment Conference (2017).
