Dr. Sharib Ali is a University Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Leeds. Previously, he served as a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Oxford's Department of Engineering Science and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Heidelberg and DKFZ, Germany. He holds a PhD in image analysis from the University of Lorraine (CNRS - CRAN, France) and a master's in Computer Vision from the University of Burgundy. His research focuses on biomedical image analysis, endoscopic AI, early cancer detection, and 3D reconstruction in medical contexts. He has contributed to projects like computer-aided endoscopy for Barrett's oesophagus and developed physics-based image registration techniques for brain histology. His work has resulted in patents and collaborations with institutions like Oxford NHS University Hospitals and Forschungszentrum Jülich.
