Shannon Lynch is a Staff Affiliate in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Sacred Heart University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University. Her research focuses on health disparities in cancer care, geographic and socioeconomic determinants of cancer outcomes, and improving access to preventive and palliative care services. Lynch is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Her work examines racial/ethnic disparities in pancreatic and hematologic cancers, geographic variations in cancer incidence among young adults, and the impact of neighborhood-level exposures on health equity. She has collaborated on studies analyzing treatment delays, palliative care utilization, and innovative approaches to catchment area analysis in oncology.
