Cindy Guandalini is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at Yale School of Medicine and Manager at the Pediatric Diabetes Program. She specializes in type 2 diabetes treatment and coordinates NIH-funded research on youth diabetes.
Guandalini earned her MSN from Yale University (1990) and BSN from Salve Regina University (1981). She is board-certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Her clinical approach emphasizes family-centered care plans and proactive patient monitoring. She coordinates a longitudinal NIH study investigating three treatment approaches for youth with type 2 diabetes.
