Shanjukta Nath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia. Her expertise spans causal inference, machine learning, education policy, and development economics. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford Graduate School of Business, focusing on policy learning and evaluation using large-scale randomized controlled trials (RCTs). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, where her dissertation addressed preference estimation and schooling outcomes.
Her research investigates peer influence, fundraising strategies, spatial econometrics, and educational reforms. Notable projects include analyzing school segregation in Ethiopia and evaluating the impact of sibling sex composition on fertility patterns in India.
Dr. Nath’s work combines rigorous statistical methods with real-world policy applications, emphasizing causal mechanisms and data-driven solutions. She has contributed to advancements in spatial modeling, behavioral economics, and public health interventions.
