Shang Jiang

Dr Shang Jiang is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. He joined NTU in 2019 after prior roles as a Module Leader at Kaplan International College London and data researcher in financial intelligence.

His research examines how institutional and regulatory contexts influence corporate sustainability practices, focusing on greenwashing, ESG regulation, and environmental innovation. Current projects analyze macroprudential policy impacts on greenwashing, energy transition dynamics, and gender-driven institutional transformation in China.

Recent publications in Business Strategy and the Environment and Energy Economics highlight his empirical work on corporate greening strategies and environmental policy geospatial effects. He serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Economic Issues and contributes to research ethics committees.
