Dr. Shane Rogers is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Edith Cowan University's School of Arts and Humanities. His research focuses on human communication, psychological wellbeing, and the application of virtual reality (VR) technologies in mental health and education. He has pioneered work on the Brief Emotional Experience Scale (BEES) as a mental health screening tool and explored VR's potential for enhancing social interactions and therapy. Dr. Rogers earned a PhD in Psychology from The University of Western Australia (2015) and holds dual bachelor's degrees (BA with First Class Honours, 2004) from the same institution.
Teaching Responsibilities: Coordinates units like Learning, Memory and Cognition (PSY2204), and supervises research projects (PSY6241/6245). Known for innovative teaching methods, he has received multiple awards including Excellence in Teaching (2007, 2010, 2012 at UWA) and ECU's High Achieving Researcher Award (2021).
