Shane Enete is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Crowell School of Business, Biola University. He holds a Ph.D. in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University, an M.S. in Mathematical Finance from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Enete’s research investigates the intersection of Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI), Christian theological principles, and comprehensive financial planning. His work explores behavioral aspects of finance, such as the influence of emotions on financial decisions, integration of faith with wealth management, and ethical implications of corporate activism. Recent publications analyze how positive psychology frameworks like the Broaden-and-Build Theory can enhance family financial wellbeing and charitable giving practices.
His academic contributions include studies on Christian negative screening in portfolios, ETF investor behavior, and reconciliation of sacrificial giving with prudent saving. Enete’s work has been recognized with the 2023 Best Family Financial Wellbeing Paper Award Finalist and presented at conferences such as the Economic Challenges Facing Future Ministers Forum and AFCPE Symposium.
