Alexander Vadilyev

Alexander Vadilyev is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the Australian National University (ANU), affiliated with the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies & Statistics. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of New South Wales, alongside advanced degrees from the New Economic School and Far Eastern State University.

His research focuses on empirical corporate finance, with notable publications in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Critical Finance Review, and Economic Record. He has held visiting roles at the Sauder School of Business (University of British Columbia) and the Beedie School of Business (Simon Fraser University). His work has been recognized with awards such as the Outstanding Paper Award and the Best Policy Paper Prize.

Vadilyev teaches courses on Investments, Portfolio Construction, and International Finance. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and actively involved in professional organizations like the American Finance Association and Financial Management Association.
