Charles Appeadu

Professor Charles Appeadu is a faculty member at the Lindner Finance Faculty, joining in January 2016. Prior to this, he served as Head of University Relations and Director of Examination Development at CFA Institute, shaping global academic partnerships and exam frameworks. He also held academic positions as Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and Georgia State University, Atlanta, and worked in the investment industry as a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Parametric Portfolio Associates in Seattle.

• M.Sc. in Transportation and Highway Engineering (1989) from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (1984) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana

Dr. Appeadu’s research spans corporate finance, portfolio management, and financial risk management, with publications in journals such as the Journal of Portfolio Management and Transportation Planning and Technology Journal. His interdisciplinary background bridges finance, investment strategies, and transportation engineering.

He holds prestigious professional certifications: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). His career integrates academic leadership, industry expertise, and strategic global engagement in finance education and professional standards.
