Shan Jiang

Shan Jiang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science & Information Systems at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He holds a PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and a BS from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on social network analysis, business intelligence, and text mining.

Professor Jiang's research explores dynamic network models, knowledge diffusion in social media, and social media analytics for financial intelligence. His work combines computational linguistics and social capital theory to analyze online communities and crisis management systems.

Recent publications examine service robots in hospitality, knowledge payment platforms, and psychological impacts in peer reviews. He has secured multiple NSF grants and received teaching fellowships. His research spans human-computer interaction, digital transformation, and health informatics.
