Shams Al Ajrawi

Shams Al Ajrawi is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at San Diego State University (SDSU), College of Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of San Diego and San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program (JDP) in March 2021, supported by a National Science Foundation (NSF) scholarship, and holds an M.S. from the New York Institute of Technology (2009) and a B.S. from the University of Technology (2005).

Her research focuses on Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) applications, wireless communication, AI, signal processing, and cybersecurity. With over 20 publications and two books, her work bridges theoretical and applied domains in computer science. She has also contributed to academic leadership through curriculum development and collaboration projects.
